Is registration free?

Yes, 100% free. We will never ask you to pay to join our panel. In fact, we reward your for participating in our surveys. Registration and participation is completely free and voluntary, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

How do I become part of the SwitchedOn panel?

SwitchedOn is an insights community dedicated to all things entertainment. If you want to join the panel, or know of someone who should, you can do it right here – just click on the “Register” button, and complete the registration process.

When can I expect surveys?

As soon as you have signed up and completed the registration process, you are eligible to start receiving surveys. Receiving surveys is entirely dependent on the topic of the research and whether it might be of interest to you. You will only receive surveys for which you qualify, according to the research topic.

You Invited me to complete a survey, I answered a few questions, then you kicked me out – what’s up with that?

We’re sorry! We know it sucks, but it’s bound to happen – we develop questions for a specific audience, and sometimes you juuuuuuuust fall outside the scope of that audience – it doesn’t mean you’re not cool, we still like you, so don’t lose heart, there are still several other surveys where we need your brain!

Will you try to sell me something?

Never! We may try to give you something (which you could rightfully earn by sharing your opinion), but the information you provide will be used for market research purposes and not to market any product or service to you.

What about my privacy?

We take this very seriously and will NEVER divulge your information to anyone not authorised by SwitchedOn. Your information will be used purely for market research purposes. When you complete surveys, your personal information will never be reported. Check out our privacy policy to see just how serious we are about protecting your personal information.

What's in it for me?

What if I don’t want to be part of the panel anymore?

Why do you want to hurt us like that? You can unsubscribe from our panel at any time. Participation is completely voluntary. We would be very sad to see you go though, because you will miss out on all the rewards and research fun. But please don’t leave us, you complete us!

How will I know when a survey becomes available?

We will send you an email to invite you to take part in surveys. If you log into your SwitchedOn account, you will also see what surveys are available. Log in regularly to see what research activities we have available for you. We also have polls and discussions that you can participate in, so it makes sense to visit regularly (more opportunities to win!)

How long will the surveys take?

Surveys will vary in length and we will always inform you upfront about the length of the survey. The survey length will vary depending on the topic, but will never take longer than 20 minutes. We know your time is precious. But if the time increases, so will the rewards.

What does SwitchedOn do with the information provided?

All information is pooled together and analysed on an overall level. Our final analysis is an aggregated view and does not include any reference to a specific individual. From this aggregated pool of data, we will have a better understanding of the various forces impacting on the entertainment world, whether from a technology perspective, or simply a programming perspective – we want to stay ahead of the trends, that’s why we need you, the trendsetters, to tell us what’s going on in your world.

How long am I required to be a member of the SwitchedOn?

If it was up to us, we’d keep you forever, but the duration of your stay is entirely up to you. You are welcome to remain a member of SwitchedOn for as long as you like, and you can unsubscribe at any time. When you unsubscribe though, two things will happen: 1 – we will stop inviting you to complete surveys, and 2 – you will forfeit the opportunity to win more amazing prizes.

I’ve forgotten my login and/or password, what do I do?

Stop panicking – we got you! From the Login page, click the “Forget Password?” button, and we will email you password reset instructions. Or you can get in touch with our helpdesk, simply mail info@SwitchedOn.africa.

How can I change my personal information?

To change your personal information you must log in and go to your profile area. You will then have access to all your data, which you can modify at any time. Remember to click “Confirm changes” after modifying your details.
